JAMES R. GOTWALS

Mr. Gotwals is the president of the firm of James R. Gotwals & Associates, Inc.

He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on November 9, 1950. He attended the University of Oklahoma; was a member of Phi Delta Phi Fraternity and received his BBA in 1972 and his juris doctorate in 1975. He was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar in 1975. Mr. Gotwals has been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, the Northern District of Oklahoma and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit. He has been listed in the Best Lawyers in America from 1993 to the present; is a member of the Tulsa County Bar Association; and served as Chairman of the Fitness and Mental Health Committee from 1993 to 1994.

Mr. Gotwals was a member of the Fee Arbitration Committee from 1993 to 1994; a member of the Professional Responsibility Committee from 1995 to 1999 and Chairman of the Tulsa County Bar Association Family Law Section from 1999 to 2000. He served as a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Executive Board, Family Law Section from 1990 to 1995 and was Chairman from 1994 to 1995. Mr. Gotwals is a member of the American Bar Association, Family Law Section; the American Inns of Court from 1999 to Present; Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association; Association of Trial Lawyers of America; and the Quality Assurance Panel for the Families in Transition Program of the 14th Judicial District of Oklahoma from 1999 to 2001.
